Because the weather in Miami stays gorgeous mostly year-round, there’s not a bad proposal season. A February proposal is going to be just as wonderful as a June proposal. The time of day will be the biggest factor when figuring out when to do it. The weekends in the middle of the day tend to be far more crowded, while the sunset gives you a more private moment. Plus, the lighting is positively dreamy!

Sometimes, the Miami weather just doesn’t cooperate, so I always suggest you plan your proposal the earliest day possible. Not only will this take away the nerves from the rest of the trip, but it will also let you postpone your proposal should the rain clouds suddenly appear. You can also have a backup indoor location if you have your day set.

Before you leave, be mindful of where you have your ring. It never hurts to buy insurance just in case the worst should happen. Rather than put it in your checked bags, keep it in a small, discreet travel bag in your carry-on. And definitely don’t keep it in a coat or jacket pocket.
