Tuscany on the doorstep of New York
Imagine having your wedding in Glenmere Mansion. You stroll hand-in-hand through the Italian courtyard, and out into the sweeping grounds. Glenmere Lake glitters in the distance as you say your vows. And behind you, the Tuscan mansion glows coral as it reaches into the sky.
Just to visit this place is an experience. To have your wedding here would be truly unforgettable.
I visited Glenmere for an editorial earlier this year. And oh my, it was exquisite. Elegant pastel florals, two breathtaking bridal looks, a stunning tablescape, and the most idyllic outdoor ceremony…
If you’re dreaming of a wedding in Glenmere Mansion, come take a little look. This world-class editorial is all the inspiration you could ever need.
Take a stroll with me through Glenmere Mansion wedding venue

Just 50 miles from New York sits the Tuscan-inspired mansion of Glenmere.
Perched high on a hilltop, the over-a-century-old mansion looks out over one incredible view. 150 acres of landscaped gardens, sweeping lawns, and rugged woodland- all flowing gently down to the rippled waters of Glenmere Lake.
Step inside the lovingly-restored villa, and you’ll find 35 magnificent rooms to explore. Marble-columned porticoes, juliet balconies, and sweeping staircases. Elegant studies, romantic alcoves, and hidden nooks…
And at the centre of it all: the iconic cortile. An Italian-inspired courtyard of hedgerows, statues, flagstones and fountains.
It feels like escaping to Europe, and stepping back in time all at once. If you’re looking for a luxury New York wedding venue, this is the place.

The connection at the heart of the day

As with any wedding- any editorial- what made this day so special was the couple themselves.
Sabrina and Pranav were so warm, so laid-back, and so infectiously in love. And for me, that was the best part of the day. Getting to capture their connection, their closeness, backdropped by this stunning, storied space.
We had two bridal looks throughout the day.
The first was an absolutely show-stopping gown from Ines Di Santo– with intricate lace detailing, a fitted bodice, and a dramatic flowing train. She completed the look with a delicate pearl-petal headpiece, elegantly natural makeup, and a stunning peony and rose bouquet.
We explored the venue together. They had champagne in the ballroom, kissed on the staircase, and cuddled on the love-seat.
And as Sabrina headed off to change for the ceremony, I stole away to take in the tablescape.
Tablescape inspiration for your wedding in Glenmere Mansion

For a larger wedding in Glenmere Mansion, the venue offers “The Barn in the Meadow”- a spacious, modern, oh-so-photogenic space for up to 350 guests.
But for smaller, more intimate receptions? It’s hard to imagine a more perfect setting than the covered terrace overlooking the grounds.
Arrangements of reflexed roses, peonies, and lilacs spilled from the centre of the tablescape; fireworks of pink, peach and gentle blue. Floral linen flowed from the table; the stationery was elegant blush, and subtle gold.
And for me, this is one of the unsung beauties of Glenmere Mansion wedding venue.
The coral walls, the gorgeous gardens, the opulent interiors…it just invites you to bring color into your styling. Inherently lifting your wedding beyond the ordinary, and elevating your aesthetic in a thousand small ways.

The urns, the arch, the dress

For rainy days, cold days, and windswept afternoons, “The Barn in the Meadow” gives you a sheltered, chandelier-lit option for your wedding in Glenmere Mansion. But if the weather’s on your side (and your guestlist is modest), it’s difficult to top an outdoor ceremony with a view!
Two floral urns of roses, peonies and lilacs framed the aisle. And behind the altar, a wildly spectacular floral arch in peach, blush, magenta, and blue.
Sabrina made her entrance in another breathtaking gown from Ines Di Santo– with a fitted bodice, and the most amazing layered tulle skirt. It was playful, and fun, and gorgeously dramatic. And just the perfect contrast to the sleek back lines of Pranav’s tux.
They kissed, they laughed; they Hollywood-dipped against the dove-grey sky. And with one last glance at that stunning ceremony space, we went for one last little wander through the mansion.
Wedding photography in Glenmere Mansion

As a wedding photographer, Glenmere Mansion is a playground, just begging to be photographed. An endless offering of beautiful backdrops, considered details, layers, light, and lines.
But it’s more than that. It’s that feeling you get as you’re strolling through the grounds. The invitation to be open, to be intimate. The freedom to be vulnerable, and that unspoken nudge to be present with each other.
And I think that’s why I loved this editorial so much. Because I got to capture these two gorgeously loved-up humans, just wrapped-up in each other.
To tell the story of their connection, their humour, their easy affection. To give them photos of them- immersed in this incredible experience, with the beauty of the venue woven through.
